oxbridge true blue DINNER TUng Po Seafood
Restaurant
7:30pm, Thursday, 29 July 2010
Once
again, it is the time of the year where we shall hold our traditional Oxbridge
True Blue Dinner. Amid the blistering summer heat, we shall be going local to
host this event at one of the most well known “dai pai dong” in Hong Kong.
About Tung Po
Seafood Restaurant
Featured on the acclaimed Anthony Bourdain’s “No
Reservations”, Tung Po Seafood Restaurant serves up a treasure trove of
traditional Cantonese seafood cuisine, albeit with an interesting international
riff– dishes such as fried durians, cuttlefish cooked in squid ink with noodles
(obviously Italian influence) and deep fried garlic pig trotters (obviously
German origins), all in the hustle and bustle of an authentic (thankfully, air-conditioned) Hong Kong “dai pai
dong”!
Chef
Robby Cheung shall be coming up with a specially selected menu for this event. As ever, this promises to be a good session of good food
and good company at one of the more “unique” culinary locations in Hong Kong.
All
members and their guests are welcome!
