OPERA: La Bohème

by GIACOMO PUCCINI

at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Grand Theatre

on WEDNESDAY, 6 OCTOBER 2010

(Opening Night)

PERFORMANCE BEGINS AT 7:45PM

Puccini’s 4-act La Bohème is perhaps the best loved and most popular of all Italian operas. The opera boasts a series of the best-loved arias and vocal ensemble pieces in the opera repertoire – including Che gelida manina (“What a tiny frozen hand”), and Mi chiamano Mimì (“I am called Mini”), to name but two – and never fails to enchant audience worldwide.

The forthcoming La Bohème is a co-production of Opera Hong Kong and the Rome Opera House, with a visual feast and brilliant singing by outstanding international and local singers. Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Hong Kong Chorus will reinforce the performance.

We have secured a special price for the Society for the best seats at HK$828 each, which represents a 10% discount on the original price of HK$920.  In order to take advantage of this special price, bookings must be made by 10am on TUESDAY July 20, 2010.
