Annual Rowing Regatta & Family Fun Day

16th April 2011 12:30pm – 4:00pm

(Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club) Middle Island, Deepwater Bay, Hong Kong

The Event you have been itching for since that last rowing session on the River Cam, or since watching Oxford lose yet another regatta to the Light Blues in 2010, the Annual Rowing Regatta & Family Fun Day provides the perfect opportunity for those looking to rekindle that long lost feeling of total body exhaustion, or for those looking for a sweet revenge over your “better university”.

Not The Sporty Type?  No problem, this event provides a cosy setting for a relaxing, kids & pets friendly, “catching up with friends over a drink(s)” session.

12:30pm Onwards all the food required to fuel your appetite will be available via a la carte, while all the drinks required to create damning excuses (or reasons) why you are not rowing, will be served. Eat and drink as much as your wallet, or octopus card, can manage.

2:00pm The Regatta! Flex your muscles, skills and beer bellies to your mates, family and kids (or pets). The results bear no significance whatsoever, except for those who get the prizes.

We Want You to come, row (prior experience required – please fill in separate form) or cheer for the rowers.  Come share and promote the spirit of the most famous varsity sporting event on earth since 1829 (for the statisticians amongst you, Cambridge leads the competition with 80 wins to 76, one dead heat in 1877)

It’s Not Just About the Rowing, it’s also about the Sandcastle Competition, Varsity Tug of War, the sunshine, the sand and the sea, not to mention some lovely Oxbridge rowing souvenirs available for cash purchase on the day.
